The Assurant Health Insurance Company had its origins in the Time Insurance Company, a health insurance company founded in 1892. Today, it is a division of the U.S. holdings of N.V. • There are preferred provider network plans that provide treatment from doctors and hospitals that have agreed to lower fees.
• There is a hospital-only network plan which provides hospital care at a reduced rate.

• Choose a per person lifetime maximum of up to $8 million.
• Choose an annual deductible from $250 to $10,000.
• Choose an office visit co-pay amount that is affordable.
• Choose the percentage an employee pays after the deductible is met.
• Add helpful, affordable prescription drug deductibles and co-pays.
• Add discount cards of up to 60% for vision and hearing coverage.

Other plans offered by Assurant include a Healthy Lifestyle plan. This plan concentrates on routine medical services such as check-ups, preventive tests, and vaccinations.
